Social Events and Opportunities

Fellowship and socialization are an important part of any community. Holy Trinity is no exception! Check out below some of the events we have put on. Make sure to sign up for our newsletter (on the homepage) or like us on Facebook to stay in the loop about upcoming events.

Weekly Wine Reception

Following worship most weeks, we gather for fellowship and conversation with wine and light snacks. If you are intersted in hosting a reception, please speak to Geraldine Kruse

Grant Park Picnic and Concert

Several times during the summer, we head over to Millenium Park for a picnic and concert. We begin with worship at 5:00 p.m., then we have a short walk to Jay Pritzker Pavilion for a potluck picnic on the lawn at 6:30 p.m. (bring an appetizer, salad or desert to share; your own drink, plate and utensils). The 7:30 p.m. typically features classical music performed by the Grant Park Orchestra. Look for a Holy Trinity sign to find our group. Rain plan: We have a picnic at Grace Place!

Printer's Row Lit Fest

For two years running, Holy Trinity has had a table at Printer's Row Lit Fest! This is a great opportunity to connect with the community and spread the word about Holy Trinity. In 2015, we had copies of The New Jim Crow available for a suggested donation and information about HTLC's Prison Book Ministry.

Wine Tasting

In November of 2014, over 50 people gathered after worship for a special wine tasting event in which our seminarian at the time Marcus Lohrmann guided us through six different wines. The event was such a success, we did it again at our Lakeview site in the spring of 2015. Sign up for our newsletter (on the homepage) or like us on Facebook to learn about this and other events.

HT Jazz Showcase

In April 2015, a group from HT shared food at nearby Hackney's then headed to Jazz Showcase for an evening performance of the Dee Alexander Quartet.
